Siesta Key

White sand, low buildings, an unserious kind of luxury.

Fictional — a concept profile of an invented version of Siesta Key. Nothing here reports current market conditions, and every figure is invented.

The life here

Our fictional Siesta is the barrier island where the architecture stays modest and the sand does the talking. Buyers here tend to want bare feet, an outdoor shower, and a house that forgives salt.

The concept profile leans on the island's mid-century inheritance: flat roofs, deep overhangs, jalousies, terrazzo. We treat those houses as assets rather than teardowns, and much of our imagined advisory work here is convincing a seller that the original drawings are worth more than a renovation.

Two sub-characters matter in this concept. The village end is sociable, walkable, and busier in season. The southern stretch is quieter, larger-lotted, and more private. Same island, different life.

We are candid with fictional buyers about the trade: the beach that makes Siesta desirable also makes it busy. Anyone who needs absolute stillness in February should look north.
